On a sunny late May day (5-25-19), we planted the majority of our garden. This is in no way a “how to garden” story, more of a journal of a beginner. This is what we planted:

Veggies we bought starter plants: Tomatoes (3), Peppers (2), Eggplant, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Zucchini, Spring Onions (split from neighbor), Chives, Oregano, Thyme, Rosemary, Sage, Flowers-Marigolds, Zinnia, and many native perennials around walkways

Veggies we transplanted from seeds started inside ourselves: Tomatoes (5), Peppers, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Winter Squash

Seeds started in the ground: Green Beans, Cucumber, Winter Squash, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Swiss Chard, Kale (late April), Peas (late April), Carrots (late April), in window boxes-Spinach, Lettuce, Basil, Cilantro

Veggies back from last year: Strawberries, Shallots (only 1 of 8 that I planted came up…the guy at the farmers market who I got them from said several of his didn’t come up either, probably from the cold winter)
