- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 6 cups water
- Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave with a little milk or water.
- A round 3 quart crockpot is best for this oatmeal. A larger oval crockpot will work, but since the oatmeal is more spread out, the ends can get a bit overcooked and crisp, which is not a big deal. My larger crockpot runs pretty hot so I use the warm setting instead of low. Experiment with your crockpot!
